This is my completed Double Page Spread. I have added the footer at the bottom which looks very similar to the one on my contents page. On the left hand side of the left page I added the page number '77' that is on the contents page reference number. It is in a black box with white numbers. I wanted it this colour instead of a white box because I wanted it to be visible next to the white background. Next to the page number, I included the date 'FEBRUARY 2016'. I feel it is important to add the date so that readers know it is a different issue from others that may be published. I also added the Brit Hits website 'brithits.com' on the right hand corner. I wanted to include this in both the contents page and the article because it makes it easier for the reader to go online. If it is included on mot pages the readers are more likely to memorize it because it is constantly in their face.
Last minute, I wanted to add 'Photographed by Megan Griffiths'. I felt this was an important reference that I couldn't leave out because it is something that readers look at and they may recognize the photographer and respect the magazine a lot more. It also adds towards the more professional look, making it look official and if the photographer is mentioned readers may feel that they are an important part of the magazine.
Overall, I think I am successful in putting together the double page spread. I feel it gives off the image of seriousness through the image to reflect the interview. It gives off a current and stylish effect through the informal style of writing and the font and colour of the text. This is all of which I deliberately wanted to achieve for this double page spread.
I have mostly kept to my draft, however, I made a few minor changes such as adding 'Photographed by Megan Griffiths' and added 'AUSTIN FEVER' under the masthead. I fee these changes are for the better and now make the double page spread look a lot more professional and unique to the POP music magazine.
There are some things that I could still change such as making the name 'AUSTIN FEVER' bolder and increasing the font size, but I think it still works well with the font of the interview underneath.
